Cynthia A. Cynthia graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1992 with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Foreign Affairs and Spanish.  She then attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her J.D. degree with honors in 1996. 

After graduating from law school Cynthia was selected by the U.S. Department of Justice Honor's Program to be the Judicial Law Clerk for the Seattle Immigration Court.  After her clerkship, she moved into private practice, focusing exclusively in immigration law for the past 12 years.   Cynthia became a founding member of Hanis Irvine Prothero, PLLC in 2003. 

In her free time, Cynthia enjoys participating in sports, including soccer and tennis.  Cynthia also enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her two young daughters and her cocker spaniel.
